Dinner with the President!!!!

I am definitely going to mark this date on my calendar....11th dec 2007. The day I met my President with his family, not in Singapore but in KOLKATA!!!

President along with his family (which included wife, sister, brother-in-law, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, son, etc) was visiting Calcutta as part of his personal trip to India. Singapore airlines welcomed them at the airport and was invited to dinner by the President. And so, on 11th Dec, we were all ready at Taj Bengal to eat with the man himself. (Yes, to me this is a big deal). We shook hands and settled down at a table with the Sg high commissioner, his wife, Nath's daught, etc etc etc. Gosh, it was so much fun. Was chatting away with J (daught) and our table was roaring with laughter. In the midst of dinner, SRN walked over and asked if we were doing ok and said he should have sat with us because our table was a hilarious one. Dinner was heavy but yummy...

At the end of dinner, we shook hands again, exchanged a few words with SRN and made our way out of the hotel. I was soooooooo thrilled!!!
